There is already a slight change in the air. September has arrived, and the humidity is starting to diminish. Up in Tennessee and Kentucky, I always enjoyed this change in the weather. However, I knew that the cooler temperatures eventually meant that I would be in freezing cold weather with ice and snow and wind. There seems to be a change in the air here at FLEC. We’ve started out with such a good tone this year. The attitude of the students and the teachers just has such a positive vibe right now. Recently, the facilities committee did a walk-through of the campus with so many good ideas of how to continue to improve our great campus. I sometimes fear that, like the weather up North, there is a winter that comes after blessings. I know that the Devil works hard to douse the enthusiasm of our excitement. I’m also assured though that we, as a community, can always survive whatever storm comes our way. I have a continued prayer that the peaceful feeling that we have at FLEC now continues throughout the year. Let’s work together towards that goal.
